Rionegro, July 2025. Thanks to the management and coordination between the Colombian Aerospace Force and the Brazilian Air Force, aircraft from the neighboring country will fly over the airspace of Rionegro as part of F-AIR Colombia 2025, showcasing their cutting-edge design and advanced capabilities, captivating the audience eagerly awaiting this international exhibition.

This impressive air show will offer attendees a unique opportunity to witness firsthand the capabilities of the aircraft from the front row. Visitors to the Sweden guest country area (stands 136, 234A, and 336) will also be able to explore a full-scale replica of the Gripen E, experience the excitement of its simulator, and learn more about the advanced features of the aircraft, among other things.

The Gripen E represents the pinnacle of modern multirole combat aircraft, equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as the AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar and the advanced electronic warfare suite.
The Gripen E will be accompanied by the C-390 transport aircraft, which will provide logistical support.

"Colombia and Sweden are two allies of innovation, sustainability, peace, and much more." This debut is the result of the teamwork carried out by Sweden and Colombia over the years. It marks the beginning of a chapter written with the highest standards of transparency, quality, technology, security, and efficiency, convinced that it will meet the needs and challenges that the entire national territory requires and will continue to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience, as demonstrated by the alliance between Sweden and Brazil in this industry,” says Helena Storm, Sweden's Ambassador to Colombia. For his part, the Minister of National Defense, Pedro Sánchez Suárez, assured that "These air superiority aircraft represent a qualitative leap in the strategic capabilities of our Aerospace Force." They not only strengthen the defense of sovereignty and control of national airspace, but also incorporate a deterrent and decisive component in key military operations against transnational threats and the actions of organized armed groups. Thanks to their advanced technical specifications and operational versatility, these aircraft fully adapt to the conditions of our geography and the particularities of the internal conflict. They will be at the service of Colombia for the next five decades, consolidating a modern, interoperable Force ready to successfully face the challenges of the 21st century.

"There are multiple possibilities for Brazil and Colombia to act jointly with a view to industrial development and strengthening our aeronautical industry, in coordination with reliable partners like Sweden." The F-AIR offers a unique opportunity for contacts and rapprochement between our industries and governments, and to inform the Colombian public about the reality of our cooperation and the possibilities for the future," declares Paulo Estivallet de Mesquita, Ambassador of Brazil in Colombia.
