Andina Pack returns the international platform that has been connecting the processing, packaging and bottling industry
The countdown has begun for a new edition of Andina Pack powered by Anuga FoodTec, the international trade fair organized by Corferias and Koelnmesse, which will celebrate its 18th edition this year. Recognized as the most important event of its kind in the region, it brings together the entire value chain of the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics processing sectors in one place, showcasing a wide range of solutions, technologies, packaging, wrapping, printing, and labeling.
Looking ahead to 2025, expectations are high. The event anticipates welcoming more than 20,000 knowledgeable visitors, including industry experts and packaging entrepreneurs, and has already confirmed over 500 exhibitors, with nearly 45% of them coming from international markets. Driven by Anuga FoodTec—reinforcing its global positioning—the event serves as a strategic platform for forging high-level connections and securing business opportunities across the processing, manufacturing, and packaging segments.
One of the major highlights this year will be the new Pet Food Processing Zone, designed to meet the growing demand within this rapidly expanding market. Additionally, the trade fair will open a new pavilion dedicated to packaging and wrapping technology, packaging products and materials, as well as food and beverage processing.
From November 4 to 7, Bogotá will once again host this event which, throughout its 36-year history, has reaffirmed its role as a key business platform and strategic meeting point for the Andean Region, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Over the course of four days, national and international exhibitors will showcase the latest in innovation, consumer trends, and regulatory updates, offering solutions in processing, automation, intralogistics, packaging, and labeling, along with new developments in ingredients, additives, and sustainable materials.
Hasan Y?ld?z, Project & Sales Manager at Koelnmesse, stated: “Thanks to the support of Anuga FoodTec, we have managed to make Andina Pack grow and become much more globally connected. We are seeing more and more international companies taking interest in the trade fair, which confirms the role of Colombia and Latin America as markets with enormous potential. Together with Corferias, we have built a very strong alliance that allows us to offer a larger, more specialized fair with greater business opportunities.”
More than just a trade showcase
The impact of Andina Pack goes far beyond the exhibition of products and services. The trade fair has established itself as a key platform for strengthening the competitiveness of sectors that demand high standards—such as pharmaceuticals and cosmetics—by driving business internationalization, market expansion, and value chain integration.
The event will bring together a highly specialized audience, including professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, engineers, technicians, distributors, investors, opinion leaders, associations, industry groups, universities, and research centers. This confirms its multisectoral nature and strategic importance for the development of the industry across the region.
The Andean Region has become a key hub for industrial growth in Latin America, with a rising demand for innovative solutions in processing, packaging, and automation. In this context, Colombia stands out as an attractive destination—as highlighted by ProColombia—thanks to its 18 trade agreements that provide preferential access to more than 1.5 billion consumers worldwide.
According to Corficolombiana, the processing sector contributes 11.6% to the national GDP, generates around 2.4 million jobs, and attracts 18% of foreign direct investment in the country. In this regard, Ana Linda Garibello, Project Manager at Corferias, stated: “Colombia is a strategic setting for business due to its privileged geographic location, its extensive portfolio of Free Trade Agreements, its growing human talent across various industries, and the incentive policies that promote investment.”
Innovation for the industry
The 2025 edition will be defined by technological advancements that are already transforming the industry: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to optimize processes and ensure quality, collaborative robotics for greater flexibility and safety on production lines, IoT sensors for real-time monitoring, and techniques such as High Pressure Processing (HPP), which extends the shelf life of food products without altering their nutritional properties.
Some of the key sectors and companies participating in Andina Pack 2025 include: Food & Beverage Processing (Technofood, Maper, CI Talsa), Pharma and Cosmetics (IDEAR, AMFAR, MAquipharma), Packaging (Tetra Pak, Darnel, Henkel) and Printing & Labeling (Dispapeles, Novaflex, and Chemi Solutions).
Side Events: science, sustainability, and networking
The academic and networking agenda will be another major highlight, focusing on the sector’s most pressing challenges. Key events include:
Innovation Summit - Foodtech & Trends, featuring startups and experts exploring alternative proteins, digitalization, and sustainability.
Master Talks - Pharma & Ingredients, addressing regulatory and scientific developments in the pharmaceutical and ingredients industries.
