Leading companies will present solutions for a more responsible future for the planet at Andina Pack

The Colombian capital is preparing to host the 18th edition of Andina Pack, Latin America's leading trade fair for solutions in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries. This event has established itself as the platform where innovation, knowledge, and business converge across the value chain of processing, packaging, labeling, automation, and intralogistics.

“At Andina Pack, we believe that the future of industry is cultivated through innovation and good ideas. This edition will be a unique meeting point for entrepreneurs, professionals, and experts to discover creative solutions that not only drive business but also address the major challenges of the market and society,” stated Analinda Garibelo, Corferias' project manager for Andina Pack.

From November 4 to 7 at Corferias, more than 500 national and international exhibitors will present the latest innovations in processing and packaging. Thanks to its strategic location, Colombia becomes the ideal epicenter to solidify Andina Pack powered by Anuga as the most relevant business hub for the Andean Region, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

The event is organized by Koelnmesse in conjunction with Corferias. Hasan Y?ld?z, Project & Sales Manager of Koelnmesse Colombia, stated: “At Koelnmesse, we work to ensure that each edition of Andina Pack establishes itself as a world-class meeting point. Our goal is to provide a platform that connects the industry with the latest innovations and strategic partners throughout the region.”

For four days, the doors of Corferias will be open to business owners and professionals interested in learning about new global consumer trends, updating their knowledge, exploring sustainable solutions in ingredients, additives, and materials, and discovering cutting-edge technologies.

Sustainability as a Key Focus

One of the central themes of the fair, both in its commercial exhibits and in the solutions presented, is sustainability. In this way, participating companies align themselves with global concerns regarding environmental protection. A statistic from Greenpeace reflects the magnitude of the challenge: more than 500 billion plastic bottles are produced worldwide each year, a figure that highlights the urgency of developing innovative and responsible waste management solutions.

In this regard, the work of organizations like Tetra Pak, a world leader in sustainable innovation and food safety, recognized with the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for Sustainability, stands out. Tetra Pak will be present at the trade show to showcase its latest technological advancements in circular and recyclable packaging, which promise to protect food while reducing carbon emissions.

Laurence Mott, Director of Development and Technology at Tetra Pak, explained: “It’s relatively easy to make a completely sustainable package, but it has to be safe. And if you can’t do that at scale, you can’t minimize food waste and you can’t serve a global population. To achieve those three things, you need very strong collaboration.”

Another key player at the event, contributing to this segment, will be Rambal S.A.S. BIC, a company from Santander with over 50 years of experience developing plastic solutions that generate real value for industries and, above all, for Colombians. Today, it is a leading national company in innovation and sustainable development.

The company revolves around three strategic pillars: operational efficiency, commercial efficiency, and sustainability. These pillars keep alive its purpose of generating reliable sustainability. Furthermore, its management is supported by ISO 14001, ISO 22000, and ISO 9001 certifications, which guarantee the quality of its operations and reaffirm its commitment to excellence, safety, and environmental stewardship.

At Andina Pack, the company seeks to reaffirm its commitment to conscious innovation, sustainable development, and building relationships based on trust.

“We are convinced that sustainability is possible thanks to our most valuable asset: our people. Their happiness and motivation are the driving force behind our growth as a family and inspire us every day to create, dream, and transform the way we generate value and well-being. Today, we are moving forward with enthusiasm toward two new achievements that fill us with pride: the Great Place to Work Certification, which celebrates our people-centered culture, and the Carbon Neutral Certification, which reaffirms our conviction that it is possible to grow while caring for the planet,” stated Betcy Caicedo, General Manager of Rambal S.A.S. BIC.

Other companies highlighted for their focus on sustainable solutions that will be present at Andina Pack 2025 are:
Ulma, a Spanish industrial group, which will present its new TFX Thermoforming Machines, with Better Form X™ technology that reduces the thickness of the base film without compromising the rigidity of the packaging, and Better Seal X™, which facilitates the sealing of sustainable and recyclable materials.

Enka, a leader in recycling in Colombia, has the largest post-consumer PET collection network in the country and has recycled more than 12.4 billion plastic bottles.
Ecopulpack, with over 24 years of experience, leads the molded fiber packaging market and has obtained four environmental certifications thanks to its focus on sustainability.

A space to transform the industry

With its focus on innovation, sustainability, and high-level networking, Andina Pack 2025 will be much more than a trade fair: a call to build more responsible value chains for the planet and society.

With the support of Marca País Colombia, ProColombia, and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, Bogotá will become the meeting point where knowledge, technology, and purpose-driven businesses come together to transform the industry.
